Wesgroup’s Marketing Coordinator/Graphic Designer, Louise, is trading in her MacBook for a hammer as she participates in a nine-day Global Village trip building Healthy Homes in Guatemala with Habitat for Humanity. When she’s in Guatemala, she and her team will be working on upgrading existing homes with smokeless stoves, water filtration systems, new bathrooms and more. These innovative housing projects will improve the health, financial stability and opportunities for Habitat’s partner families.

Louise decided to get involved with Habitat for Humanity after sitting on the sidelines watching her good friend Jecel volunteer for the past few years. This will be Louise’s first trip with Habitat for Humanity but it probably won’t be her last.

Wesgroup is proud to sponsor Louise and her commitment to improving the lives of families through Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity is an international, non-governmental, and non-profit organization which was founded in 1976. Habitat for Humanity has been devoted to building “simple, decent, and affordable” housing. For more information, please click here.

…As she’ll be leaving in the next few days, we’re excited to hear about what it’s like to be a humanitarian in Guatemala. Check back in a few weeks to read about the stories and adventures.
