Wesgroup is proud to work with Aunt Leah’s through the years. This past holiday season, Wesgroup supported River District’s first Aunt Leah’s Place Christmas tree lot, a popular attraction this year at our River District community. We’re happy to announce that over $32,000 was raised with 355 trees sold this year.

We wanted to follow up and share with you how your Christmas tree purchase is directly helping support young moms in need and youth in foster care.

All proceeds raised at the tree lot are used to support Aunt Leah’s Thresholds programs, which provide housing and services for new moms who benefit from extra support with their new child. The Thresholds program mothers live in a safe, caring home environment where they can learn how to care for their baby with the guidance of Aunt Leah’s staff and a Family Support Worker. Program participants are connected with community programs and resources, as well as Aunt Leah’s workshops to help them transition into independent living.

Last year, the house brought security to over 30 moms. These funds raised at the tree lots are essential to keeping the program running.
We would like to give a special thank you to the River District community, tree purchasers and all the volunteers that made this a successful first Aunt Leah’s tree lot.
