On April 3, 2008, John Conicella, Vice President, Planning & Design at Wesgroup Properties, presented a cheque for $50,000 towards a Surgical Navigation System to Cheryl Bosley, Interim Executive Director, Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
A Surgical Navigation System is a special computer that displays three-dimensional images of the patient’s anatomy and the surgeon’s instruments in “real time” while the surgery is being performed. This awareness allows the surgeon to be confident while navigating the boundaries of the surgical area. With leading edge equipment and the high caliber of our surgical team, Burnaby Hospital is poised to become a leader in Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Based Surgery.
“Wesgroup is proud to be a supporter in helping Burnaby Hospital lead the way in Endoscopic surgery” says Conicella.
“Wesgroup’s $50,000 donation towards the purchase of a Surgical Navigation System will have a significant impact on a patient’s quality of life, especially those suffering with chronic diseases such as sinusitis. Having the newest equipment for our surgeons will allow them to provide less invasive, more precise and less traumatic surgical outcomes,” notes Bosley.
Wesgroup is a local, family owned company that provides complete, end-to-end real estate services; acquiring, developing, and managing commercial, industrial, health, retail and residential properties.
