It does not apply to our current or former employees and does not apply to tenants, whose personal information may be governed by separate privacy policies, where applicable.

b. Targeted Ads
We want to send you advertisements that are of interest to you. We may use non-sensitive information, like mailing lists you have signed up to, broad location data (e.g., city), and pages viewed to understand what content or offers may be relevant to you. We may work with advertising platforms, and may share limited information with them to show advertisements to audiences with similar interests. You can opt-out by:
- Not signing up to mailing lists
- Turning off personalized advertisements in your device and browser settings
- Using platform advertisement preferences (e.g., Google, Facebook, Instagram,
LinkedIn)
- Contacting our Privacy Officer using the contact information below if you have
questions or need help.
c. Email and Text Marketing (CASL)
We rely primarily on express consent to send email and text message marketing. We use implied consent only in the limited cases allowed by Canada’s anti-spam law (e.g., existing business relationship within the allowed time window). Every message includes an easy unsubscribe. You can also opt out of any marketing by emailing us. If you believe you received a message in error, contact our Privacy Officer.
Some emails are sent by a specific project company (e.g., a limited partnership) for a single project mailing list. If you unsubscribe using the link in a project email, you will stop emails for that project list only. You can ask our Privacy Officer for a universal unsubscribe that stops marketing from all our projects and entities.
We may still send service/transaction emails (e.g., deal, showings, maintenance) where appropriate.
2. Our Practices
a. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information only as long as needed for the reasons we collected it, to meet legal requirements, and to defend our rights.
Under some circumstances, we may anonymize your personal information so that it can no longer be associated with you. We reserve the right to use such anonymous and deidentified data for any legitimate business purpose without further notice to you or your consent.
b. Service Providers and Transfers
We use service providers to operate our business (for example, hosting, analytics, payments, email, support). They may access personal information to provide services to us. You might also have a direct relationship with them, in which case their privacy policy will apply.
c. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that are reasonable for the sensitivity of the information (for example, role-based access, encryption in transit, secure development practices, logging, vendor due diligence, and incident response).
Please do not send us sensitive personal information—such as financial information or health information—unless we request it specifically.
d. Where We Store Information
Your information may be stored in or accessed from Canada, the United States, or other countries where our service providers are located. Different countries may have different privacy laws. We use contracts and safeguards to protect your information. There may be limited circumstances where your personal information could be disclosed by us or our service providers where required by law, such as a court order or discovery in litigation. In those cases, Wesgroup’s policy is to limit the disclosure to the minimum amount possible.
